Has your PC
become slow? Maybe you are using variety of optimize software in this
situation. Or you are trying to find all common solutions. But still not
working? In this situation, you need some upgrades to your PC. Which hardware
needs to be upgraded? How and where should you start from? Which kind of upgrade
can give you expected performance? Let’s try to find out the answers of the
questions.
RAM:
You can
increase the performance of your PC easily by upgrading its memory size. RAM
increasing is an affordable upgrade. Moreover, it is possible to increase RAM
of almost all machines (It is also possible to increase of RAM of some
laptops). And the most benefit is that there is no need of much technical
knowledge for this upgrade. If you have never opened the casing of your
computer, the time has come to make some engineering.
In fact,
almost all of the PC’s performance can be improved immediately by RAM
upgrading. Especially if your PC is slow. Especially, the programs which take a
little more RAM such as your video editing software or while gaming, more RAM
means better performance in this case. Even for normal use, more RAM helps to run
more background app. And the more RAM in your PC means you will be able to work
by opening more browser tabs.
Now the
question is, how much RAM is needed for your PC? In one word, currently your PC
must have 4 GB RAM. But, if you want major improvement, 8 GB RAM is the best
for you. And if you want to do any heavy work like video editing and gaming, 16
GB RAM may be the best.
Graphics
card:
In the second
list, we have graphics card upgrade. If you are a serious gamer, you need to
upgrade the graphics card first. But, if you are not a serious gamer or do not do
3D rendering or video rendering, graphics card upgrade will not be beneficial
for you. PC manufacturer companies often make misery with graphics card to
reduce the price of the PC. So, for better performance, it is better to set
dedicated GPU than depending on the default GPU.
Data drive:
Your hard
drive needs to be upgraded for two reasons mainly. Firstly, if you need more
space. And secondly, if you want faster performance. If you still suffer from
space after removing all unnecessary files from your hard drive, the time has
come to set hard drive of larger capacity. New hard drive will not only help to
save more data but also have impact for better performance.
Try to keep
at least 10GB free space in your primary drive system which is known as C
drive, so that your operating system can use it. If your PC have 5,400 RPM drive,
upgrade it to 7,200 RPM. You will find amazing speed boost in your PC.
Processor:
Upgrading
your PC’s processor is the most difficult technical work. This setup is not
only difficult but also costly. Moreover, it is a big question whether the new
processor will work with your new system. You must think about the support of
the new processor with the current system. In fact, processor upgrading cannot always
give better performance.
Software:
Using
updated software is a good decision though this statement is not always true.
Important updates can be completely different. Because, the full version of
software is changed by it. And the new version software uses more resources
than before. Before upgrading software version, think of upgrading your PC if
your PC is troubled with using current resource.
